SeaWorld is amazing.

There are a number of quiet towns on the outskirts of Orlando, in Central East Florida. When planning a trip to Orlando bed and breakfast, consider one located outside of town; it’s a wonderful way to experience all the Orlando area has to offer.

And that is plenty. SeaWorld presents incredible shows that display the intelligence and beauty of orca whales, sea lions, dolphins and a variety of other animals, from pot-bellied pigs to tropical birds. It features thrilling rides and numerous restaurants, and is something to experience, at least once in a lifetime. The same goes for DisneyWorld and Epcot Center. If you have never been, go. Spend a day marveling at these theme parks. Then return to the luxury and peace of an Orlando area bed and breakfast. (more…)

Seek shells on Sanibel Island

On Sanibel Island, the most difficult choice you’ll have to make is deciding which direction to walk on the beach, and how big a pail to bring for shells. It is, in other words, an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday. Travel to a  Sanibel FL bed and breakfast is best when you are determined to leave all work at home.

Sanibel is considered to be one of the Top 10 North American Islands (Conde Nast Traveler). It’s sugar white sandy beaches are a magnet for shells, due to the east-west orientation of this barrier island (most of the barrier islands run north-south). Be sure to incorporate yoga – or at the very least a lengthy swim and nap on the beach – into a daily routine while on Sanibel, for scanning the beaches for sea shells inevitably leads to the Sanibel Stoop. Parrotfish Face

Get face to face with a parrotfish while diving off Key Largo.

Scuba diving and snorkeling are popular sports in the Florida Keys, and with good reason. Some of the best diving areas in the world are here. John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, created in 1963, was the first undersea park in the United States. Adjacent to the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, the park encompasses almost 180 nautical square miles of coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangrove swamps. The coral reefs are located between three and eight miles off-shore; tour them in a glass-bottom boat, or take a snorkeling or scuba tour.
