Fresh and Locally Grown in and Around Gainesville, FL

The Gainesville area is flourishing with farmers markets and organic food growers. Buying food locally helps support Gainesville growers and ensures that your diet is filled with the freshest ingredients.

The Union Street Farmers Market

Held every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in downtown Gainesville. Located in the center of downtown since 1996, the Union Street Farmers Market vendors work to maintain its status as the preeminent year round family and community oriented event held in Gainesville. Situated on the Bo Diddley Community Plaza at 111 E. University Ave., each week local farmers, bakers, artisans, musicians, and dancers join with many local, loyal customers in a celebration of seasonal bounty. Open 52 weeks of the year, the market continues its quest to “make the world a better place one vegetable at a time!”

Alachua County Farmers Market

The market is located at 5920 NW 13th Street in Gainesville, Florida at the corner of State Road 121 (NW 13th St), and U.S. 441 in an open air metal pavilion. Open every Saturday, year-round, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm or until all products are sold, whichever comes first.

Abundant Acres: Naturally grown, grass fed/pastured and integrated pest management. The farm is sustainable, carbon collecting, holistic, chemical & antibiotic free. Our hens and turkeys are free range on pasture & woodlands, providing nutrient dense eggs and meat. Our broiler chickens grow on fresh grass, sunshine and antibiotic free feed.
