2016 Florida Strawberry Festival, March 3-13, 2016 in Plant City represents a piece of Americana, a time in American history when fairs and festivals brought communities together through celebrations of their harvests. This event rivals any state fair in the country with guests coming from near and far to enjoy exhibits of agriculture, livestock shows, arts and crafts, horticulture, local food, headline music concerts, carnival, and parades with glorious floats and high-stepping marching bands. The entertainment line-up, year after year, continues to be extraordinary.

Strawberries Plant City Florida

Friday, February 7th, 2014
doomed strawberrySpring brings strawberries ripe for the picking and Plant City celebrates with an annual feasting extravaganza, the Florida Strawberry Festival, part county fair with midway rides and livestock shows, and part country music exhibition.  Every winter, Plant City’s 10,000 acres of berry farms turn ripe red with fruit.  It’s that first bite into a strawberry, still warm from the sun that leaves a crimson trail of sweet juice running down your cheek. You thought you knew what a strawberry tasted like, until you tried one grown with Florida sunshine. Because while the rest of the world shovels snow off the road, Tampa Bay feasts outside on berries.  This year the Festival takes place between Thursday, February 27, 2014-Sunday, March 9, 2014

The Florida Strawberry Festival is dedicated to preserving the history of Tampa Bay’s agriculture and community through one very delicious vehicle, strawberries. Known for hosting some of the best rock and country bands in the nation,  check out some of the great music too. Don’t miss a taste of our ruby sunshine.
