The Palm Beaches is a GBAC (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) STARTM-accredited destination. This ensures the industry’s most stringent protocols are followed across The Palm Beaches – at the airport, convention center, accredited hotels, including the convention center’s connected Hilton West Palm Beach, and cultural centers throughout the destination.
“Through our significant investments in GBAC STARTM accreditation and similar initiatives, we’ve been able to build meeting planners’ confidence by establishing some of the broadest safety and sanitation ‘coverage’ of any U.S. destination,” said Kelly Cavers, DTPB’s senior vice president of Group Sales and Destination Services. “We aim to continue building that confidence, by showcasing all of the ways our team and community has pivoted to support clients’ new needs and offering these services in the most convenient and cost-effective way.”
DTPB’s promotional offers complement the team’s existing, wide array of cost-cutting programs, such as access a pool of local talent known as Destination Champions, which include guest speakers, innovative food and beverage suppliers and volunteers; and the ability to customize local, immersive experiences at various price points.
New outdoor event spaces throughout the destination include the convention center’s reimagined SKYroom courtyard; expanded areas at Loggerhead Marinelife Center, which allow attendees an up close and personal experience with sea turtles on one of the world’s most densely nested beaches; rooftop terraces at new boutique hotels such as The Ben, The Canopy by Hilton and The White Elephant; and sweeping Intracoastal Waterway views atop private spaces at Flagler Banyan Square.
The Palm Beaches is Open for Meetings, with Open Palms, and our whole community is energized to welcome planners and their guests.
