One of the many reasons that Martin County is such a special place is thanks to the diverse array of independently owned local businesses that call our destination home. They range from unique boutiques and one-of-a-kind properties to innovative restaurants, rejuvenating spas, exciting tour operators, inspiring attractions, and so much more.
When COVID-19 began dominating headlines around the world, there were more questions than answers, and businesses everywhere were facing incredibly challenging times. In order to help, the Martin County Office of Tourism & Marketing wanted to create a way to showcase and amplify the local businesses dedicated to the safety and wellbeing of our residents and visitors alike. We wanted to instill a sense of confidence in consumers so they would continue to feel comfortable patronizing our local businesses, who needed customers’ support more than ever before.
We created the #MartinTogether program and invited Martin County’s tourism-facing businesses who were dedicated to following CDC guidelines to sign the #MartinTogether Pledge. These participants were provided with a toolkit of resources and best practices, custom designed signage (like six-foot social distancing stickers), and a special listing on the #MartinTogether Directory. The program participants were also supported with an ongoing advertising campaign that included print and digital ads, social media promotion, public relations efforts, personalized trainings and seminars, and more.

Now, we’re excited to announce that we have partnered with Bandwango (a destination experience engine that has worked with tourism offices across the country) to bring the #MartinTogether concept to life and elevate the program to the next level. We developed and recently launched the #MartinTogether Pass. Anybody can register to instantly receive this free, mobile-exclusive pass via text or email – and there’s no app to download.
