Florida Oceanographic Ocean EcoCenter
The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is located on Hutchinson Island, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon. The 57-acre parcel houses the Society’s headquarters, plus a 10,000-gallon Rays on the Reef Stingray Interaction Aquarium, a 750,000-gallon Game Fish Lagoon, a Sea Turtle Pavilion, a Children’s Activity Pavilion, and more. The Ocean EcoCenter is the newest addition to this beloved attraction, which officially opened in July 2021. Spend the day exploring interactive galleries where you can learn all about Florida’s coastal ecosystems. There are also multiple hands-on displays and aquariums where you can spot different species and even meet the resident octopus!
Elliott Museum
After exploring the Ocean EcoCenter, head across the street to the Elliott Museum! This fan favorite offers dynamic local history exhibits, an ever-changing lineup of temporary exhibits, and an impressive Major League Baseball memorabilia collection. But the museum’s main draw is their vintage car collection, which includes all sorts of rare automobiles from yesteryear! They also have exhibits dedicated to Americana, beautiful artwork, and so much more. Don’t forget to check out their special programming, like their unique sound vibrational healings, or grab a bite at their on-site restaurant, Philly Down South. Play Money Pinball Arcade
Do you consider yourself a gamer? Play Money Pinball Arcade in Stuart boasts a collection of more than 100 games! Old games, new games, team games, solo games, video games, arcade games, pinball games, PC games, basketball games – it can all be found at Play Money! There’s also table shuffleboard, skee ball machines, and adult karaoke nights. Wristbands for unlimited play for the entire day cost just $15 (plus tax) per player. It’s the perfect place to hang out with the whole family while you wait for the rainclouds to blow away.
The Lyric Theatre
The Lyric Theater is an iconic attraction here in Martin County. Their programming encompasses everything from plays and musicals to concerts performed by world-famous acts. Built as a silent movie house in the Roaring 20s, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This grand old theatre represents a colorful history in the community as a central gathering place for tourists and residents alike. The theatre seats 500 and features whisper-perfect acoustics. You can check out their upcoming shows online and even purchase tickets directly through their website. Other popular theatres in Martin County include The Barn Theatre and A.C.T. Studio Theatre, so there’s always a show worth catching!
Stuart Ceramics
