Martin County Office of Tourism Joins the AllTrails Public Lands Program

Here in Martin County, we love our beaches, parks, preserves, and beautiful natural areas. So with National Public Lands Day quickly approaching on September 28, we thought it was the perfect time to announce our newest initiative!

The Martin County Office of Tourism & Marketing and the Environmental Resource Division have collaborated to join the AllTrails Public Lands Program! Now, you can explore over 25 trails across county-managed preserves with ease using the free AllTrails app.

This user-friendly platform includes mapped routes, Leave No Trace tips, and real-time alerts to ensure safe, responsible outdoor adventures. We’re also adding QR codes at trailheads that will directly to the app, making it easier than ever to connect with nature in Martin County.

More than 250 land management agencies now participate in the program, including the U.S. National Parks Service, the Nature Conservancy, various state park agencies, and more.

With AllTrails, a 2023 iPhone App of the Year, you can discover trails not just locally, but globally, and join over 65 million users enjoying outdoor recreation responsibly. This initiative is part of our award-winning Explore Natural Martin ecotourism program, encouraging environmental stewardship while enhancing access to our destination’s natural beauty.

Download AllTrails today and start your adventure in Martin County!

What is National Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day is organized annually and led by the National Environmental Education Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service and other federal agencies. Hundreds of thousands of volunteers roll up their sleeves to help restore and preserve public lands of all types and sizes—from iconic national parks and rivers to local urban green spaces and everything in between.
