Major League Spring Training isn’t the only baseball in town. Nearly 300 college teams from around the nation and at every level visit Central Florida from February to March, making the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational the largest baseball event of its kind in the nation. So while you’re in town for a game (or two or three) here are some other great things to do before & after a RussMatt baseball game!
Things To Do Before & After A RussMatt Baseball Game
1. Get on the Water at Elite Cable Park
There’s no need to rent a boat, buy fuel and gear if you want to wakeboard while you are in town. You can get right on the water at Elite Cable Park in Auburndale since riders are pulled by an electric cable track rather than a boat. Guests can learn to water ski or wakeboard with a Get Up Guarantee Package that’s perfect for those who have never tried wakeboarding, waterskiing, wakeskating or kneeboarding. The Get Up Guarantee is the best way to learn how to ride.
2. Visit LEGOLAND Florida
Need a day off from watching baseball? LEGOLAND Florida Resort is the perfect all-day spring activity and is fun for the whole family. With over 50 rides, interactive shows, attractions, and a water park, designed just for kids, it’s guaranteed they will have the best vacation ever. Stay at Pirate Island Hotel for an even greater experience. And on February 24th the new Peppa Pig Theme Park opens just steps away!
3. Enjoy Nature at Bok Tower Gardens
Inspiring visitors with Olmsted gardens, a majestic bell tower, carillon concerts and El Retiro Mansion, Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales features daily concerts, nature walks and special events. The Gardens’ Outdoor Kitchen and Children’s Garden are just two of the many reasons locals should revisit this historic attraction. Plan to enjoy lunch at the Café and stop in the gift shop. Bok Tower Gardens is a National Historic Landmark.
