ArtsFest 2024 – February 10 and 11

Frederick Douglass Reenactment February 8

February marks the start of Black History Month, honoring the triumphs and struggles of African Americans throughout U.S. history. The Elliott Museum is hosting a Frederick Douglass Reenactment led by John H Anderson Jr. Douglass was an American social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman. He became one of the most important leaders of the movement for African-American civil rights in the 19th century. Don’t miss this moving event, held on February 8 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The reenactment is free for museum members to attend, or $18 at the door. ArstFest 2024 February 10 and 11

A hometown celebration of all things related to arts and culture, this award-winning two-day event provides the area with exceptional fine art and fine craft exhibitors, culinary arts, hands-on activities for the family, and a variety of live musical and theatrical performances. Since its inception in 1988, ArtsFest has grown to become one of the most cherished, well-attended, and longest-running community events on the Treasure Coast. This year, ArtsFest returns to Memorial Park in Downtown Stuart! This will see the addition of a new chalk art competition and a new Arts Speaks Poetry Slam! Tickets are just $5 at the gate and those 18 and under are free.

Valentine’s Day Celebrations Throughout February

Love is in the air as we all gear up for Valentine’s Day on February 14. There are plenty of ways to celebrating leading up to the holiday, ranging from themed parties and game nights to concerts and more. Some highlights include Galentine’s Bunko Night on February 9; the VIM Gala: Care from the Heart on February 10; a “Be Your Own Valentine” Party at Spirit Well Sensory Lounge on February 10; a “Rock the 80s” Concert Fundraiser Weekend at the Barn Theatre from February 9-11; and the MartinArts Sunset Concert Series “Valentine’s Day Songs of Love” on February 13. The winter polo season is officially in full swing at the Port Mayaca Polo Club. Explore Natural Martin Guided Eco-Tours Throughout February

All year long, the Explore Natural Martin team leads free, guided eco-tours throughout Martin County. The award-winning ecotourism program developed in partnership with Leave No Trace is a way to inspire residents and visitors alike to appreciate the natural wonders of Martin County while learning about responsible outdoor recreation. There are lots of fun events planned for February, including a Tropical Forest Nature Walk on February 8; a guided Indian River Lagoon Kayak Tour on February 15; and the Birds and Butterflies Event on February 24.
