For brides and grooms looking to exchange vows in The Palm Beaches, these sites pack a picturesque punch — and are only found here in this tropical paradise.
For the Zen Seekers
Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. Travel around the world for your ceremony and reception by hosting them at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens, an oasis of Japanese culture and flora. A koi pond, along with occasional cameos from iguanas, wetland birds and rabbits, place brides and grooms in a lush, cultivated escape from urban bustle.
For the Wild-Lifers
Palm Beach Zoo. It’s not often your wedding images can be photo-bombed by a sloth. But just about anything’s possible at the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society, where exotic species are within view — and earshot — of your wild and wooly reception. The zoo offers three locations for its ceremonies: in front of its sky-high fountain, among its Mayan Ruins or in its Tropics Café.
Lion Country Safari. Begin married life with an unparalleled adventure by securing a wild wedding venue at Lion Country Safari. Its 4,000-square-foot pavilion offers seating for up to 400 guests looking to uncage their inner party animal and join in celebrating this significant milestone. Guests will also receive admission to the Lion Country Safari’s drive-through preserve and park, as well as free parking.
For the Eco-Enchanted
FPL’s Manatee Lagoon. There’s nothing like seeing a manatee up close and in its natural habitat, and during manatee season (Nov. 15 – March 30), there’s one venue in The Palm Beaches that specializes in manatee viewing. Located on the Lake Worth Lagoon in West Palm Beach, Manatee Lagoon, a Florida Power & Light eco-discovery center, provides views of the water, Palm Beach Island and, if the timing is right, manatees! Choose your favorite space for your nuptials and make it a memorable wedding!
Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Located in Juno Beach, Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a spectacular new wedding venue. Celebrate your special day at a location dedicated to the research and preservation of sea turtle health and ocean conservation. Exchange vows against a backdrop of beautiful sparkling waters and spectacular marine scenery. Following your service, you can hold your cocktail reception on the Ocean Deck, this gorgeous lounge space has stunning views of the ocean, dunes, and marine life, with comfortable couches, and cocktail tables.
For the Gallery Gazers
The Boca Raton Museum of Art. Designing a wedding backdrop is its own art form, but why not let The Palm Beaches’ stellar museums do some of the work for you? At the Boca Raton Museum of Art, you might enjoy your first dance across from masterpieces by Warhol, Dali or Chagall — or pose with friends and family in front of a room-size mural. Choose from the indoor Grand Hall space to the Sculpture Garden, with its moonlit ambiance and light breeze.
For the Flower-Powerful
Mounts Botanical Garden. Mounts Botanical Garden is a subtropical sanctuary of native flora and fauna, and its 20 interconnected gardens provide the ultimate green wedding. Kiss the bride under the shade of the Begonia Garden, tickle your senses in the Rose and Fragrance Garden, or cavort with friendly swallowtails in the Butterfly Garden.
For Those Looking For An Alpine Atmosphere
American German Club of The Palm Beaches. Located in Lake Worth, the American German Club of the Palm Beaches accommodates up to 500 guests with its clubhouse rental and on-site catering services. Its large seating area and spacious picnic grounds work together to create its “old Alpine style” atmosphere. Select the beautiful and intimate biergarten, or the spacious main clubhouse and the picnic grounds for larger events.
For the History Buffs
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Weddings are a historic occasion, so consider the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, whose storied existence dates back to 1860. Couples wed on the deck at the base of the steps leading to the lighthouse, which serves as a towering backdrop for stunning photography. A museum, gazebo and lush vegetation complete the waterfront surroundings.
For the Water Lovers
Lake Pavilion. The Lake Pavilion along the West Palm Beach waterfront has floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking water on all sides. Opportunities for picturesque ceremonies abound, with couples choosing to wed on the nearby docks, the Pavilion’s Great Lawn and “The Palm,” a signature platform with dynamic water features. The indoor reception venue, which seats 175, has no vendor restrictions, making the Lake Pavilion a blank slate for the most imaginative wedding designer.
For the Organically Inclined
Swank Farm. If farms conjure images of mud, livestock and tractors, then you haven’t visited Swank Farm. In its 15 years, the Loxahatchee destination has expanded to produce 350 varieties of organic and hydroponic produce on its 20-acre site. Receptions take place in the recently built, 300-person barn structure.
For the Retro-Inspired
National Croquet Center. Want your wedding to feel like “having a party in your own mansion”? The National Croquet Center in West Palm Beach is the world’s largest destination dedicated to the ground-billiards game with roots in 17th-century aristocracy. The picturesque veranda and candlelit dining room are gorgeous vintage backdrops for outdoor or indoor weddings and receptions. Plan to pose with croquet mallets for unique photo ops, or arrange for your guests to play croquet during cocktail hour.
For the Baseball Fans
Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium. The Spring Training home to two Major League Baseball teams, Jupiter’s Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium is also an epic venue for couples that want their weddings to hit it out of the park. Hold your ceremony directly on the field, where MLB stars have competed, and use the 35-foot video board to project larger-than-life images, while enjoying new photo ops in the players’ bullpens, dugouts and clubhouses.
The Ballpark of The Palm Beaches. The Spring Training home of the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros, the Ballpark of The Palm Beaches is another special venues for baseball fans. Whether you’re looking for formal or casual, gourmet or ballpark fare, the staff here can help you cover all the bases. Couples can utilize the field for the ceremony and main concourse or Party Deck for the reception, which makes for a memorable wedding.
For the Equestrians
National Polo Center. With its vast stretches of manicured greens, the National Polo Center in the Village of Wellington makes for a stunning wedding locale.
